17th Asian Spoofing Championships!
Nick has chosen Bangkok - the capital city of the Kingdom of Thailand - for this year's ASIANS. We are pleased to announce that the 17th Asian Spoofing Championship will be held in the afternoon of Saturday, September 14, 2019.
The ASIANS are later than usual this year. We are attracting many spoofers on their way to the Rugby Worldcup in Japan and the WORLDS Spoofing Championships 2019 in Yokohama. There might also a rugby dinner on the evening of the 13th September 2019 held in Bangkok so this year we will a true international attendance from as far as Canada via Scotland to as far as New Zealand.
Please add the date to your diaries. We confirm that the venue will be the Bistro 33 in the centre of Bangkok. Bistro 33 is spacious and we can be sure to have our privacy. However, seating is limited and I urge you to make your reservation with me as soon as possible. A pre-spoofing gathering is planned on the evening of Friday, September 13th. We will explore the belly of Bangkok, where we will endeavour to locate and contract coin warmers. Meeting venue to be announced.
All Gentlemen of impeccable character are invited to join for this celebratory afternoon of international gourmet food, wine, world-class Spoof, free-flow drinks and yes, the famous coin warmers! We hope to welcome the Manila Club Spoofers, the No Cash Spoofers from Dubai (and all the other camel jockeys), the Kuala Lumpur Spoofers and of course a lot of Gentlemen from the far far away lands.
The cost for the day will be the same as last year: 3000 Baht / 100 US$ payable in advance with your country manager. Thank you for your registration to the 2019 and
37th World Spoofing Championship.
At the time of this release we have 50 registered interests in attending this prestigious event with a list attached for your information.
We are very fortunate that the event will be hosted by the rugby section of YC&AC and I encourage you to have a look at the clubs’ facilities by clicking the link below to gain an appreciation of the club. In addition to hosting the World Spoofing Championship, YC&AC has agreed to provide a temporary membership to all participating Spoofers for the duration of RWC2019 from and including the semi finals weekend in Yokohama. The club is an ideal facility to wine and dine and enjoy European food and beverages in addition to fine Japanese cuisine, not to mention the very spacious facilities in the very compact city of Yokohama.
The cost of the event and temporary membership together with a commemorative shirt is 30,000 yen.
A registration desk will be set up at the Clubs’ offices for payment on arrival. As our event needs to close at 11pm we will commence spoofing at 4pm with payment registration open from 3pm.
As the initial registration was to get a view to the numbers for planning purposes, and that things change over time, we now require you to re-confirm your attendance by clicking on the link below. In doing so, You will be asked for your shirt size and the name you wish to have monogrammed on the shirt. This could either be your surname or nick name such as “Filth 1” or “The Darkie” or perhaps a spoofing call like “Miss Flowers” - over to you. The shirt is a semi-slim cut ranging in sizes from small to 4XL – S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL or 4XL.
Finally gentlemen, because there are some financial and minimum number obligations with YC&AC and shirt manufacture deadlines etc, we have to make a final call on confirmations by Friday 26 July 2019. So, if you know of anyone planning to attend, please encourage them to confirm registration now and avoid missing the cut. If this is your first time attending a World Spoofing Championship, there is etiquette required and we remind those spoofers who have sponsored a first-time participant what is required in this regard.
2nd Annual Malaysia Spoofing Championship 2018

Dear All,
I hope you are all well.
Now that the Bangkok Spoofers 30th Anniversary Party and Championship has successfully been concluded, with the formidable Slowpoke raising the trophy ( I assume he didn’t gloat), myself and the organising committee (Andrew M. & Nick E.) would like to invite you to the 2nd Annual Malaysian Spoofing Championship on Saturday the 27 October, starting at 2.30pm for a 3.00pm start.
Last year, the inaugural Malaysian Spoofing Championship was a very successful event with 29 spoofers, both experienced and inexperienced alike joining the fun. The ever-present Douchebag, coming out as the eventual winner in the final, beating someone whose name we can’t remember. We are aiming for a similar number this year and have approximately 15 spoofers from Malaysia and abroad already confirming attendance prior to this announcement. So please act quickly if you wish to join.
The event will not be in Havana this year, but in the upstairs bar of the Magnificent Fish & Chips, which is but a few feet from Havana on Changkat. There will be free flow beer, wine and spirits from 2.30pm until 9.00pm. Canapes will be served throughout most of the tournament with a choice of meals served prior to the final. I assume/hope there won’t be a vegetarian option. After the event, we will enjoy Changkat and a few other haunts
The contribution for this event will be the same as last year – 350 Malaysia Ringgit, but there are more drinks in the pot this year. This will cover all the drinks and a little for the chosen charity. Like last year, the charity will be the Malaysia Make a Wish Foundation http://makeawish.org.my/about-us/make-a-wish-malaysia/.
Those of you looking to join for the whole weekend, events will be arranged with a likely meeting point of Havana Bar on the Friday night. A list of convenient, nicely priced hotels will be forthcoming.

30th Anniversary Spoofing Celebrations
Esteemed Gentlemen Spoofers,
we are getting close to our big anniversary for the spoofers and I would like to hereby invite all of you fine gentlemen to join us.
On 8th September we will celebrate our 30th year spoofing. In 1988 nine gentlemen got together for the first spoof in the British Club and since then it became a tradition to keep Tuesday nights free to enjoy the evening with excellent spoofing and the company of like-minded gentlemen.
30 years later we organize a full evening of celebrations and of course spoofing.
From 5pm onwards we will celebrate in the (New) Churchill Bar in the British Club, at 7pm we will start the anniversary spoofing championships upstairs where we will continue to celebrate until late.

Sohil has chosen the capital city of the Kingdom of Cambodia – Phnom Penh - for this year's ASIANS. We are pleased to announce that the 16th Asian Spoofing Championship will be held in the afternoon of Saturday, June 9th, 2018.
Please add the date to your diaries. We confirm that the venue will be the HOPS beer brewery in the centre and the night life of Phnom Penh. Hops’ is spacious and we can be sure to have our privacy as we have all the private rooms and function area on the first floor. However, seating is limited and I urge you to make your reservation with me as soon as possible. Further we will explore Krong Chaktomuk Serimongkul on the Friday evening before, June 8th, where we will endeavour to locate and contract with a cache of local coin warmers. Meeting venue to be announced.
